Need Help! Please (my xbox is refuseing ftp)

I deleted my back ups on my unleashed x ( i know i know how! could i do that well i did) so i lost my default dashboard, then i said screw it and i deleted some other stuff and my soft mod and the mec assult save. So now i have no dash board and all my game saves are gone, i can still use games and get on xbox live. What should i do i tryed to use the smart ftp but it keeps saying "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it." so how can i get my xbox back? Im begging here, i dont have $150 for a new xbox.

This is not a SmartFTP error. You've screwed up your XBox, the FTP server does not seem to be running. Please ask in a XBox related forum how to make the service run again on your XBox.

I tryed it again with the cord detached from the xbox and it said the same thing, so i think it might not be a problem with my xbox but something else.

Again, this is not the right place to ask for this, as we are not XBox specialists, but (Smart)FTP specialists. Your problem is that you cannot get FTP on you XBox to work (i.e. the server side), and that is not related to the FTP client you use. I've done for you what you should have done yourself: Google for an XBox networking tutorial. Get it here:

As stated in the tutorial section of this document, the author uses FlashFXP, but SmartFTP will work just as well.
