fail to make the connection!

I have just upgraded from v1.1.984(I think) to v1.1.985

Whenever I try to log on to any of my FTP sites I get the message:

An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.
Connection closed.

Dos anyone know what I am doing wrong, I have tried altering settings but don't really know what I am doing with these so don't want to mess too much. My next hope is to do a system restore and go back to the old version but I don't really want to do that.

Help anyone?

Hi, try downloading the beta build from my signature.

I'm downloading it now. Does this beta do something different which might help?

Still no joy. now the message says:

oh well, I think I may have to do a system restore
