Hi,

I'm new here and also new to FTP so the question I'm about to ask may sound stupid to some but anyway....

I want to allow visitors to download some files from my site and I've found out how to do it but in the URL it shows my password and username. I've tried using the link below it (FTP w/o login) but it doesn't work - it just says there is no page to display.

Hi, if your ftp don't have a web server and it don't allows anonymous access you can't do nothing except giving your username and password.

what is a web server and how do allow anonymous access ?( probably stupid questions!).
