Connection Actively Refused!

Recently, I have tried to log into my FTP through SmartFTP (v.1.1.987, but it also happens on older versions) and get this:

Resolving host name ftp.digibase.ca...
Connecting to (ftp.digibase.ca) -> IP: 24.215.4.169 PORT: 21
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

This happened after installing McAfee Privacy Service, but when it's disabled, the problem still occurs.

I tried everything on the help page and it doesn't help.

This happens on other FTP clients too.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, try ussing the development build on my signature. It only has 2 troubles: cache and fxp with queue is not working, if you don't have need of that atm (they go to be fixed) you can try it.

Hi, i tryed to speak with McAfee but they don't gived any fix for your trouble. The only "fix" is to uninstall the Privacy Service....
