Winlogon and SmartFTP

(My apologies for posting this in the Premum Support forum. My mistake).

I sure hope someone can help me ...((

Yesterday I installed SmartFTP (downloaded from the SmartFTP Web site, checked and cross checked by NAV, TDS Anti-Trojan, and Adaware - it's clean).

My NT Windows Logon (winlogon.exe) is configured to access the Internet through the Generic Host Process (GHP).

Immediately after I installed SmartFTP, I received an alert that WINLOGON.EXE is changed and that the changed program requires access to the Internet through the GHP.

I checked winlogon.exe in the Windows/System32 folder. It has not changed since September 2004. The CRC is OK. I don't how to check the MD Hash - but, still, it looks to me like the file hasn't changed one bit!

I checked winlogon.exe with NAV, TDS Anti-Trojan - nada. It is not infected.

If winlogon.exe has not changed - why the alert?

Is there any problematic interaction between SmartFTP and winlogon.exe?

Thank you very much for a great forum!
