Address bar question

Can anyone tell me how to delete old ftp addresses, user names, and passwords from the list in the address bar? I can highlight and delete them, but they re-appear immediately.

please search the forum, this has been asked may times before:
tools -> settings -> general -> history, select and press "Delete" / "Empty".

ps: if you press "Del" within the address bar, you just delete the string, not the history entry.
