Connected -- But No Files Show

Using Smart FTP client I can succesfully connect to and use plenty of FTP servers. One of them, on the other hand is not working properly and I (we) cannot figure out why. It would appear that can succesfully connect to it but no files show up.

Other workers can connect and access the files just fine. It's not as if it's empty or something. According to the guy running the server I have all of the same access privileges as everyone else. I've tried playing with Passive and Active settings. Tried Tranfer>Directory Listing Options> and made certain that both Show All Files and Resolve Link boxes are checked. Removed the tick from the Send FEAT command box. Windows XP firewall has been shut off since day1 so that's not an issue.... I'm out of ideas. Here's what I see --

    Resolving host name XX.XX.XX.XXX...

    Connecting to (XX.XX.XX.XXX) ->  IP: XX.XX.XX.XXX PORT: NOT 21

    Connected to (XX.XX.XX.XXX) -> Time = 157ms

    Socket connected waiting for login sequence.

Any advice for either the guy running the server or me? I'm at my wit's end on this one. Thanks in advance.

try editing your list command defaults.

Under Tools > Settings > Transfer. Try taking everything off and seeing if that helps. I think a lot of microsoft hosted ftp servers don't like getting things like -la or -La as arguments.

It worked for me anyways.

Sorry to say that this didn't work either. The problem is driving me batty too.

#1 The Sys Admin logs on and can see everything using my details.
OK fine. The problem is on my end. I do a complete wipe of my HD, reinstall a new OS and I still can't see any folders available! This is crazy.

Please offer up any more advice out there. I could be working from home if I had access to these folders.
