Really basic help needed

Hello. Iv just d/l'd smartFTP and i want to get my websote on line. I have the webspace and i have the website finished and ready. I just don't know how to use FTP and the tutorials are slow and confusing. Can anyone offer a quick and easy way of uploading my files to my webspace. Thankyou

Okay, here's a quick one:
1. Get the FTP server address from your webspace provider.
2. Connect to port 21 with the username & password your provider has given to you.
3. Upload your files (mostly to a folder called "public_html", or just the "root" fodler you're in after login).
