Is SmartFTP Apple compatible? The computer I'm using is an Apple iMac.

I couldn't find any system requirements anywhere on the below links, front pages selections.

No, SmartFTP only runs on MS Windows. For some Mac clients, see https://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/161
