Proxy options greyed out

Although I fear that this will not work, I would nevertheless like to try to configure a http proxy, to use SmartFTP.
Strangely enough under options (or preferences) when I try to configure the proxy, I only find greyed-out options, so there appears to be nothing to configure!
Who can help?

at first:
check if you did it right way:
Options (Ctrl+0) ->> Proxy ->> *select from 'Type' list type of your proxy,
then configure it.

you can't configure proxy when 'None' is selected as proxy's type

if you can't select any in 'Type' combobox, download latest SFTP version - all must work fine.

Yes! In the new version I can choose the type of proxy.
In the former version I could choose nothing there.

If you found a bug or something doesn't work in your SFTP version, try development release - may be your problem doesn't exist anymore.
SFTP development team fixes all bugs, implement new features ASAP. Really.
As Soon As Possible. True.
In any case try latest version before crying
