Password protecting folders

Can you password protect a specific folder with SmartFTP? And if so could anyone tell me how!! If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it.

Just like you cannot password protect a HTTP URL using your Internet browser, you cannot use SmartFTP (or any other FTP client) to password protect a single FTP folder. Most likely, the FTP server administrator will have to create a dedicated account for that folder, that uses a separate name and password.
