Error I always get regarding SSL Code Verification

There error message I get in the log is:

Opening data connection IP: 206,112,93,200,143,228 PORT: 36836.
150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for directory listing.
Connected. Exchanging encryption keys...
SSL Error
The message or signature supplied for verification has been altered
435 Failed TLS negotiation on data channel, disconnected: No such file or directory.

I created a new SSL certification Key (like the FAQ said). But I still get the problem.

My settings on the SSL connection tab are

AUTH MODE: SSL
DATA CONNECTION MODE: PRIVATE DATA CONNECTION

and the USE client Cert box is checked

However, I still get the error stated above. I read through the FAQ and Forum and searched in the database but could not find a solution.

Any suggestions?

What SmartFTP build are you ussing? if you are with a build previous to 982.8 try updating to that because it has some SSL/TLS fixes.
