Connection timeout. No response from server

I keep getting this message when I try to login to my friends FTP. I confirmed both my password and username with him and they are both correct.

Plus, he was able to login to his own ftp, using my ID and pass.


Any ideas what the problem might be?

wrong hostname / ip, wrong port, a firewall on your or the server side ... there may be many causes.
