Annoying license reminder popup

Everytime I open Smart FTp I get that stupid popup reminder. It says for personal use it's free, for commercials has expired.

I AM a personal user. It doesn't give me any option of getting rid of it.

Help?

the only option to get rid of it is to buy a license, even as a personal user. free (unlicensed) personal users have to live with the popup.

But ugh, that's stupid. They say it's free for personal users but do they have ANY idea how annoying that reminder is? Bah!

I don't mind that reminder so much but I'm about to go bonkers with getting the one that tells me to update it. I've updated it. It's the most recent veresion (1.0.981) . But it KEEPS telling me I'm running an old version and to update and opens a new window of MSIE each time. Is there a way to stop THAT? Or is that another intentional irritant to make us pay?
