how do you chmod a certain file to 755 or 666????? please help

Click on a file or folder and press F7 or right click and select 'Properties/CHMOD'. From there you can CHMOD the file/folder. Also, it depends on if your host allows you to CHMOD a file/folder. Some host don't allow it and you will have to contact your host to have them CHMOD a file/folder.
