Resume issues?

Hey there,

I was downloading a DVD image of 4,36GB which stopped a few times and was resumed. When it was supposed to be finished it happily continued however and at about 4,60GB (realy GB's factors of 1024 thus) I thought this can't be and aborted. I know for a fact the original isn't larger than 4,36GB.

The other side was ProFTPd don't know which version. Is this a bug in SmartFTP, in ProFTPd or doesn't the FTP protocol support resumes correctly after a certain size?

Searched a bit, didn't find anything and I'm in a hurry. Sorry if this is well-known.

SmartFTP has been tested with file sizes > 32bit.

I cannot say where the problem is as your bugreport is lacking information on how to reproduce the problem/bug.

Unfortunately I do not know where the problem lies exactly. It could very well be on the server side as well. The file was in my global queue and was 4,3GB large (in bytes it is bigger than 32bit). It has resumed a couple of times so I don't know exactly what happened. At some point however the file became 4.8GB and still downloading...

Just keep it in mind for now. I redid the download and w/o resume it fine.

who would share a DVD image as a single file? what a silly idea.

sorry, i couldn't resist.

Erm...pretty much everyone, actually...
