This version of SmartFTP hasnt been updated for 92 days

1/ I keep getting this alert everytime I start SFTP....


I have updated a million times (over the Menu:Tools ->Update) and have the latest version.... Whats up with this annoyance??

2/ If I decide to buy SFTP would I have the option to kill this annoyance permanently or would I still be subjected to having this reminder always pop in my face every 92 days (and thereafter) whether I want to update or not??

How about this ?? I downloaded the developer build the same day (06-28-2004) and it kept quiet till now ... its started bugging me again and 92 days havent even elapsed ...

look at the dates in the attached pic, i know i did the developer build on 06-28-2004, yet it says 03/09/04 ..... ??

also see the installed version against the latest version... whats up with that discrepency?/

why the update annoyance .. maybe we can just decide if we want to update or not .. ??

and then i just downloaded the developer build ... same issue.

and then i did a clean install with the full program, downloaded full setup .. now i get "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation."

that dont happen here ... i am the sys admin .. tried to install 2 other programs to test my permissions .. they are ok ...

Ok ... dev build installed without trouble... reminder screen has disappeared on my first few attempts to open the prog.

Testing the update check, I still get that discrepency with the installed ver and the lastest version and the history date ...

The developer build is not a "stable" release.
