lose connection after file download since upgrade to v1.0.98

Thank you in advance for your time! I use SmartFTP to download large music files (shn, flac). Ever since I updated to version v1.0.981, for some reason after every few files in the session queue, and always upon the completion of a file, it will disconnect with this verbage:
"An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. Connection closed." Once I reconnect, it starts right up again, but a couple files later, it will do the same upon completion of a file. I've looked throughout the settings, cannot identify what may be causing this. This happens in both Active and Passive modes.
