Why does the page look like my code?

When I created a page in html, and loaded it onto the server, I went to the new page on my browser, but the page just looks like all the coding that I wrote for it. I double and triple checked my coding, but all is well, why won't it appear like an actual webpage?

this has nothing to do with smartftp. your http-server seems to be malconfigured (mime-type for the html extension). as a workaround, try renaming your files to htm (without the "l").
