Server to Server File Copy?

Is it possible to connect to two different FTP servers using SmartFTP and copy a file from one server to the other without manually having to copy the file to my local machine and then back up?

yes, smartftp supports fxp. btw: why don't you just try it out? it's a matter of a few minutes ...

I did and it didn't work. Thats why I asked the question. I get the error..

An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.
Connection closed

I am running WinXP with SmartFTP v1.0.981 and connecting to two IIS FTP Servers.

The process I am following is....

#1 Open SmartFTP
#2 Connect to FTP server #1
#3 Connect to FTP server #2
#4 Drag file from FTP server #1 to FTP server #2

The result is the error mentioned above. Any ideas?

One of your server probably doesnt support FXP (foreign address in the PORT command). You can try the alternative FXP method. The setting can be found in the favorite item settings.

I apologize for posting here if I'm not supposed to. I have an educational site license that has no Key. Does that not make me eligible for premium support?
