Password Protecting folders.

Sup, I cant find out how to make this work.
I need to do this, when a user visits a link, a password feild will popup and ask for a username and password.

I need this protected: http://www.chaosx.net/outzbot/login

you're completely wrong here, please make yourself familiar with the ftp protocol. moreover, smartftp ist an ftp client, not a server.

that's one more reason why you're wrong in this forum smartftp is in no way the right software to accomplish what you want. you want to protect a HTTP link. that means you A) are talking about HTTP, whereas smartftp works via FTP, and you need to adjust some settings on the server side (e.g. edit apache's ".htaccess" or whatever) which means any client software like smartftp will not be of any help.
