Because a worm or virus corrupted some of my system fonts, I can't read the progress messages in FTP - it displays squares instead of letters.
Because my version of SmartFTP is rather antiquated I decided to download the latest version. So far I have been unable to download the file successfully. Each time about 50% of the file gets downloaded and then the download window closes by itself. I also cannot download the backup tool.
