Am I the only one with this problem?

Quite some time ago I registered at this website (15 Sep 2002 to be precise)
I can't remember why I did, probably to ask some daft question, I registered using an email address specially crafted for use on this website, namely smartftp@mydomain ... shortly after having registered I started to receive unsollicited email at this address, then I checked back at the site to see if my e-mail address wasn't visible in my member profile, and it wasn't.

I know there are more people out there that use this type of email addressing for registering at websites, but am I the only one to have done it on these forums and receive loads of spam at the address I used?

I have postfix set up to reject any mail sent to the address, which saves me from getting a fair amount of spam
(for the people who understand:
grapevine# zgrep smartftp /var/log/maillog* | grep -c reject
288
)
but I'd like to know if I'm the only person this has happened to, or if it is common for addresses used to registere here to be sold to spammers.

I never had your problem and i also registered with an unused account.

We never gave out any email address from our users/customers to a third party.
