SmartFTP not remembering settings?

I'm not sure if this was the way the program was intended to have been designed or not (especially for a non-licensed version), and I have tried searching the forum to no avail.

Every time I run SmartFTP, the Settings window pops up and everything is reset to the defaults that appear when the program is first run. I have tried switching the Data File Path, just in case I was deleting my settings, but it still reverts back to the default. I was wondering how I could get my settings to save.

I have exactly the same problem. Running the latest version of SmartFTP on WinXP SP1... It's getting a bit annoying...

Check if you have full permisions to the desired directory.

I use Windows 2000, and I had this problem, but the support article's suggestion actions were of no assistance. Win2K's regedit does not have the ability to alter permissions, but I know from what one of my friends told me that WinXP has this feature. To do this in Win2K, use regedt32.exe, and click security. Whoever operates the knowledge base might want to note this.
