This may be a silly question but...

Hi; I am new here at this forum. I am new to FTP programs. So far Smart FTP seems easy enough to use. The tutorials sure help. But here's the thing. Once I get the files transfered and prepared to upload to my server how do I get them to go? Do I press a button, is it done automatically? How do they get sent? I'd appreciate the help. I guess the question should be how do you get the program to upload to the server? All the files can be moved to the rights places. But then nothing happens. When I check my server nothing is there.

The simple way is to drag/drop the files into the right side pane of sftp .. which should show the folder structure on the server... when you drop the files will (should) start uploading.
