Program crashes on startup

Hi,

I have just updated my program to SmartFTP 6.0 Build 2126.

After performing the update, I am no longer able to successfully start the program.

I have been able to get some info from Visual Studio Debugger:

<blockquote class="ipsBlockquote">Unhandled exception at 0x000000006F42B37F (TransferQueue.dll) in SmartFTP.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000000000000000.

I have also have a crash dump using ADPlus:

Any help would be much appreciated.

Best Regards,
Stuart

Hi,

Thank you for the link!

I came into work this morning and tried opening the software again before working through the steps in that link.
Now oddly enough everything is working and it hasn't crashed on me today. Nothing has changed with my setup and my PC is left on overnight.

Is it still worth running through the steps in that article or leave it considering it is now working? (And only follow this if it happens again?)

Best Regards,
Stuart

Please install the latest version:
https://www.smartftp.com/download

It corrects the bug you were previously seeing.

You don't need to go through the steps in the kb article.
