I just upgraded to this and am confused.

The address bar in either local or remote window is a drop down. It used to show recent places visited. Now it's always empty.

The tabs show the current folder when they used to show the site.

Makes no sense to have it as a drop-down at all then.

I've reverted to v5 as it was a very useful feature.

The behavior is now the same as in File Explorer. The drop down contains the history of the manually entered addresses.
The navigation history is accessible through the back and forward drop down buttons.
