SmartFTP newbie... cannot change/specify MVS dataset, only working directory

Hi,
 
I'm new to SmartFTP, so I am quite green when it comes to this product.
 
I have successfully connected to my mainframe, but I am having trouble changing datasets. These files are not HFS, they are MVS datasets. It keeps giving me this error message:
 
501 A qualifier in " 'SYS2.TCPIP' " begins with an invalid character
 
What am I doing or not doing incorrectly?

I found the issue... the FTPDATA needed to be updated to allow for this. How it was configured did not allow for the user to switch between datasets.
 
DIRECTORYMODE FALSE
FILETYPE SEQ

All working now? You can also switch between the HFS and MVS in the favorite properties under FTP.
