Autodetect File Type

So I'm following some instructions to FTP some files from my PC to an QNX machine. In the instructions it says to "Set SmartFTP to autodetect files types upon transfer. Failing to do this will result in a failed install". So how do I do that?

the instructions are from an internal document I'm using to install new hardware on a system. they suggested using SmartFTP as the method of getting the new directories on my QNX machine. but in the instruction it made the comment regarding making sure to "auto detect file types" and I didn't see that option anywhere.

It's enabled by default. No need to do any changes.
