Transfer Queue Filter Issue... I think...

Your settings seem to be correct. I tried to reproduce here following your instructions and the folder in the filter is not transferred.

What doesn't work (this is by design) is the following. Consider that you have the following item in the transfer queue:
Source: /stats
Destination: c:\blabla\stats

Filter: Exclude
Filter Item: /stats (Folder Path)

Now the folder stats is still transferred because the filter only applies to items that are enumerated during a readdirectory operation.

Mat

Thanks for the quick response!

So here's the odd thing - it still doesn't work that way, but I found a new way that does. If I use the same setup, but instead of Folder (Path) as the scope, I pick Any, and set the value to /stats/*, it works.

I'm not sure the server or the configuration of the connection has anything to do with it, but this works for me.

Thanks for the advice!

Okay, so I'm still having troubles. Maybe I'm just not thinking through this correctly.

I'm trying another site, but this I want to set up the opposit, only download certain folders from a directory.

So I would set up the favorite to include. Now lets say I only want to download a specific folder, say public_html, and all the files and folders under it. I would imagine the correct filter would be /public_html/*, but that does nothing. It connects, reads the initial directory list, then disconnects.

Is there something I'm just missing here?

Please post the log from the transfer queue.

Sure. It's not that exciting...

Unless you see something different, the only think I notice is near the end when it says "Sorting 0 items." which makes me believe the filter just isn't set right.

Try to add "/public_html" (without the quotes) to the filters as well

Still no go... I tried it with the Scopes for both set to "Folder (Path)" and then tried "Any"

Found the bug. Working on a fix.

I knew I paid for this program for a reason! Thank you very much for fixing the bug... I thought I was just doing it wrong!

For the record, in the event anyone tries to set this up, to use the include method for a folder, you will need to set up two entries:
  • Value: /folder/* - Scope: Any
  • Value: /folder - Scope: Folder (Path)

and it works like a charm!

Thank you for your feedback.

I apologize for the bug, it should'nt have been there in the first place. If you run into any other problems please let me know.

Regards,
Mat
