Transfer fails after Remote file exist check

When connecting to send data to an FTP Server, I receive a "Transfer failed." error resulting in the following transcript:

I'm sorry, no, it isn't my server. I am using a client certificate issued by them, so I could send you that and my username/ password if you like...

What was the fix? I've got exactly the same problem...

Then trouble with mine is it might be server related, as both smartftp AND dreamweaver have the issue
