I've been using SmartFTP for a while on a desktop system, but on this laptop, I've had a problem starting multiple sessions. Here is what happens:
1. Start session with server A. No problem. It logs in and I can transfer files.
2. Attempt to start session with server B. I get just the header:
[11:01:41] SmartFTP v2.0.999.5
in the transaction window, and in the "connections" window a "Connecting..." message.
Then, the program basically hangs. Clicking X to terminate the connection does almost nothing.
Closing the program leaves an orphan SmartFTP process that I have to manually kill.
3. Reopen SmartFTP and select server B. It connects with no problem.
So, there is no problem with the servers, and I do this all the time on other computers. I also found that it does not matter if I disconnect from server A before attempting to connect to server B. (Before step 2).
