New Computer, Old settings - won't work

After 5 years of good use of my PC and various Smart FTP updates, I replaced my workstation.

The problem, I can't get the settings from my old computer to work on my new computer with SmartFTP v3 (whatever the latest download atm).

I copied all the folders and files from my old PC's:
C:\Documents and Settings\admin-user\Application Data\SmartFTP

to my new PC's:
C:\Documents and Settings\admin-user\Application Data\SmartFTP

I moved them after I installed v3. Should I uninstall v3 and place the previously mentioned files, then install v3? What am I doing wrong?

Hello ..

Usually it's enough to import the old favorites.dat. To do this go to the menu: Favorites->Edit Favorites. Then go to the menu: Tools->Import and select "SmartFTP v2.x (Favorites.dat)". Then select the the favorites.dat from your old computer.

Thanks Mat, but unfortunetly that didn't help.

Is there a way to import the othe file settings too?

specifically, I am looking for a way to import the History.dat file.

It's in the same place. Just scroll down a bit more in the import type combo box and you will find the History.dat entry.

But you should be able to find all favorites in the menu: Favorites->Quick Connect folder.
