copying files to be uploaded/transferred

I'm new at this, BUT, I've reveiwed the tutorial twice now and I'm doing everything as stated - I get logged in, but it will NOT let me move the files from my local browser to be transferred, what am i doing wrong?

Are the items being added to the transfer queue (bottom window)? If yes please post the log by double clicking on one of them.

no, they won't even "stick" in the window where they're supposed to be copied - though the text that is on TOP of them as I'm moving them SAYS "copy to" my domain
