Upload problem

Today's version of SmartFTP installed (ver 3.0.101.38)
Uploads produce files with zero bytes.
Down loads are Ok
Uploads of .jpg, .txt, .html, and .php all end up empty.
I moved to SmartFTP because FileZilla was doing the same thing???

Any ideas out there?
