Sorry for the ultra-noob question, but I've been looking around for awhile and haven't seen anything that addresses this.
I've uploaded a file to the public_ftp folder of my server. I now want to create a URL that I can embed in emails and websites that will bring up the "Save File As" prompt for anyone who clicks the link.. how do I go about doing this? I tried to right-click the file and used Copy URL (without login), which gave me what I assumed was the file's address, but when I click on the link I create with this address, I get the following error:
The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
