((Pre Transfer)) upload problem

Trying to update my website and my FTP keeps bouncing between Pre-Transfer and ZZZ.....over and over indefinately. Nothing gets loaded. I need to solve this ASAP. I already tried downloading smartFTP again with the same result. Thanks
