LIST command with * (wildcard)

Connecting to GuildFTP on a webserver, everything connects fine in passive mode. I can LIST fine, download and upload fine, but if i use a LIST *.dat command (just want every file with a .dat extention displayed) it will hang and eventually time out. I can do a LIST "filename.extention" command and this will bring up that 1 file, but if i do a LIST *.xxx command to list a specified extention it will hang.

I have however corrected this by downgrading the GuildFTP server FROM version 0.999.14 TO 0.999.13 and it has fixed it. I can now display only files that i want aka all the .dat files in the folder.

Very easy to test.

Kind regards
Michael

Hello ..

The bug is with the GuildFTPd server. I strongly discourage you from using this deprecated product. Use a professional software like Gene6 or one of the many others available.
