Can't login

Have tried SmartFTP and FileZilla and can't connect to home.comcast.net ftp server.... Pretty sure its a problem on my side. I disabled Kaspersky Internet Security but that doesn't help. It's the only software firewall running. Tried some things in my Router setup but nothing worked there either.

I get the following:
[20:06:19] Resolving host name "home.comcast.net"
[20:06:19] Connecting to 216.87.188.20 Port: 21
[20:06:20] No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
[20:06:20] Cannot login waiting to retry (30s)...

I double and triple checked user name and password. What could be causing this?

fyi filezilla gives this:
Resolving IP-Address for home.comcast.net
Status: Connecting to 216.87.188.20:21...
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry...

Also, I am able to login fine to this user account on the comcast.net web site, and have web access to email, etc so I know the username and password are ok... Personal Web Page is enabled, and I can use comcast's crappy web based site editor to do stuff. But FTP no go.

Wrong host name.

C:\Users\mb>ftp home.comcast.net
> ftp: connect :Connection refused
ftp>

Anyone know what the right host name is? All the comcast docs say "home.comcast.net"
Why do you think that's wrong?

Here is their exact instructions:
" 1. Open the SmartFTP program.

2. In the address field, type: home.comcast.net

3. In the Login and Password fields, type your Comcast.net username and password. "

help docs still give that address. need to use upload.comcast.net

There is no FTP server running on the default port 21 on this address. Please contact comcast and ask them about the correct host.
C:\Users\mb>ftp home.comcast.net
> ftp: connect :Connection refused
ftp>

Conclusion:
Use upload.comcast.net instead of home.comcast.net

To do this open a new remote browser in the menu: File->New Remote Browser.
