file corrupted after closing SmartFTP

Hi,
Everytime I close SmartFTP the main index.html file gets corrupted. The code is modified as follow:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!--TransferQueueItems-->
<Items><Version>1</Version></Items>

Does anybody knwos why the v2.5.1008 gives me this problem? And how to overcome it?
