always have to reinstall

It seems, recently, that after every reboot I must reinstall SmartFTP - the error message says it can't find the install file which is clearly there. But, I reinstall it and all my settings, etc are still there and everything works fine.

I am not sure what is causing this. Any ideas?

Uninstall the current installed version of SmartFTP.
Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs

Then install the latest version from
https://www.smartftp.com/download

Hello ..

The favorites (sites) will not get lost. The settings may get lost depending on the version you are uninstalling.

I would be uninstalling and reinstalling the newest version.

Will I have to reconfigure my settings if I install the same version as I uninstalled? I'm a bit gun shy now after losing the ability to see certain gifs on web pages - which while I was trying to fix then destroyed my game playing possibilities because now I get a black screen that I can't desplay the image. Not sure if this is all related somehow . . .
