ae.xml file. how to get rid of them.

Hello,

Does anyone know how to stop SmartFTP from creating a ae.xml on exit. I used the queue for a large transfer and ever since SmartFTP has been saving this file despite that the download completed long ago. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You have probably changed the Transfer Queue file by mistake. To fix the problem go to the Transfer Queue and click on the Save As .. button. Now select a file where you want to store the Transfer Queue. By default it saved into %APPDATA%\SmartFTP\Client 2.0\Transfer Queue.xml

Thanks! I get it now. FYI - I'm using Vista so the path was actually: User -> AppData -> Roaming -> SmartFTP -> Client 2.0 -> Transfer Queue.xml.

I believe this is slightly different than XP.

%appdata% automatically resolves to the correct path:

C:\Users\mb>dir %appdata%
Volume in drive C has no label.
Volume Serial Number is 2047-703B

Directory of C:\Users\mb\AppData\Roaming
