An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine... Help!

I have been using SmartFTP for some time, and haven't had any problems until recently. When I try to connect i get the following:

[00:52:24] SmartFTP v2.5.1006.19

[00:53:15] Continue to login attempt 2...


And so it goes on. I have obviously checked that my details are coorect, and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling SmartFTP but this doesn't work. I have also tried lengthening the time that it has to connect and switching between Active and Passive mode, but this has no effect. Ihave also noticed that I cannot access my web pages now, although other people outside can, which doesn't seem to make sense. I have checked that the websites and the client arte not blocked by the computer firewall, or through my router.

Any suggestions?? I'm running out of ideas!!!!

Add SmartFTP to the exceptions in your personal firewall. Or for testing purpose turn of your personal firewall temporary.

SmartFTP is an exception in my firewall already, and I have checked to make sure that the server and websites are not blocked. I'm still having the same problems. Any ideas?

Please post the complete log without the censored stuff.

I am having the same problem. I've made sure that my firewall and antivirus softeware accepts smartFTP. I've switched between active and passive modes, lengthened the connection time, and re-installed smart FTP again. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions, please??

You have to contact your web hosting provider for this information.
