Extra files in ftp window

I don't know what I have done and I can't copy/paste to show but all these files/folders appeared - ssh, backup, boot, cdrom, compat, dev, dis, etc, home, lib, and many more.

The folder public_html is not there.

I tried deleting some folders thinking I had transferred the wrong ones but I now have .ssh with a circle with red cross in it on the folder.

This isn't how the program appeared when I first installed it and I am not sure how to get to the original settings.

These folders are on your server. If they have always been there I wouldn't delete them. You may want to contact your web hosting provider for further assistance.
