problems loading

Hi,
I am a newbie and have managed to load a couple pages to my website. A couple times when I try to upload Smartftp (version 2) does nothing.

I open the program (which should automatically connect to the webpage I'm currently working on right?) and after I have selected what files to upload and where, I click on the Upload button and nothing happens. Nothing shows in the log. There must be something simple that I am missing.
Incase it is a connection problem I have Disconnected and Reconnected again but still nothing happens when I click on the Upload button. I can click on it but there is no action.

I'd appreciate any help. This has happened to me a couple times and somehow I have managed to get it working again but can't seem to this time.

When I say there is nothing in the log I mean there is no uploading information there after I press the Upload button but there is already info there from when I have opened my connection to my website from opening the Smartftp program. It says I am connected.

Hello,
Well I had this problem before the holidays.....and it's still not working. Can no one help? I'm trying to do a direct transfer. Someone I know suggested drag and drop and try again and I can't drag and drop if that means anything and under Connections at the bottom it says it is Idle.....which I don't know if that's a problem or not as I read somewhere it'll say that when you are not transfering files and still means you have a connection.
