Memory / Resource Errors

Hi,

I am using version 2.0.1000.0

I have strage errors, such as "Out of Memory" or "Resource Allocation Failed"

These problems are generated when i have used smart ftp and left it running in the background.

The errors come from different programs (Explorer, IE, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks) and are solved when I close Smart FTP

I think there is some error or incomapability. (I have used previous versions of Smart FTP without issue.)

Does anyone have a similar issue, or provide me with some information on how i may pin down this error and provide a bug report with some technical data?

Thanks
Bill

Thank you.

Can you monitor the memory usage in the Task Manager (taskman.exe). You may want to add the following columns to the Processes tab:
GDI Objects
USER Objects
VM Size
Mem Usage

Please let us know how you can reproduce an abnormal use of any of these resources.

Thanks.

I'll track it over the next few days and report.

I left it running for hours overnight, and used it a few hours this morning and there seems to be no trace of the error. My PC also installed a few updates from MS yesterday, so it's possible the problem was elsewhere, triggered by sFTP and MS fixed their bug.

No noticable change in the taskmon.

If I notice anything I'll post, but it appears I either don't have a problem or am incable of creating it upon demand

Edited: removed nonsense about gdi numbers, as realised these numbers fluctuate as you load other screens or popups
