How do I upload Zipped folders

Is there a restriction on uploading zipped folders?

I am trying to upload a zipped folder from my PC to a ftp site.

When I use the Upload Direct Select File folder option and use the explorer window that opens to locate the zipped folder I cannot see those folders at all.

What is the problem?

The problem is that the folder isn't actually there ... it's a Windows Explorer feature that it displays the contents of a ZIP archive as a virtual folder in its folder tree. In reality, there's no such folder on the filesystem, which is why SmartFTP cannot see it.

Thanks for your reply. I tried to drag and drop the individuaL files in to the remote browser and nothing happened.

In the remote browser I right clicked abd selected the UPload Direct Select files to get to the file and still nothing happened. How do I upload individual files ?

You cannot upload files directly from inside a zip archive. There is a way to disable the Windows Explorer Zip/Cab folder extension.
