Can't upload files to my personal webspace help!

As my description states, I have Smart FTP, and a Linksys BEFSR1 V.3 router, and can log in to my personal webspace and delete files, but when I come to upload files, nothing happens, and I get an error message which says:

Timeout (40s)
Active Help: https://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/74
Client Closed the connection
Transfer failed

I opened up the port on my router, and setup a static DNS, but still cannot transfer files. Can someone tell me what I should do to fix this problem???

Thanks

..Bert

Yes, it's because you bought a product from them where in this case you are a free user!

I joined LOTS of free forums where the people were very helpful, and the money wasn't a motivator for satisfaction.
