Help please!

Hi,
Hope you can help! I am trying to use SmartFTP to migrate from one server to another. I have unblocked the recipient server (ProFTPD, Plesk root hack) and both servers now connect with SFTP. When I upload a file the name and file type appear on the server but content is 0.00kb. My files are a mix of .jpegs, .gifs .html etc. I have tried various setting on the file transfer tyes ASC11 / binary and auto also have changed passive settings but keep getting the sams nil content result. Can anyone help? Log attached. Thanks.

I don't have access to a ProFTPD server, but it looks it don't transfer anything.

ProFTPD is just the inbuilt FTP software in Plesk 8 (linux server). I have no problem with SFTP when uploading as normal ftp from my pc - only when in FXP mode It accepted the files and transfered the names onto the server just not the content!

" it's very likely that one or boot servers dont allows fxp, you can try to make a zip of all your source server, download to your computer and upload to the new server, or if you have shell access, you can try downloading the source server ussing command line ftp from the new server.

Thanks Aokromes, I think it is still a glitch with ProFTPD as my source server has not problems connecting with FXP. Unfortunately I have 5.5 gigs in hundreds of separate files to transfer so zip is just not a practical option and I am not computer literate enough to use Shell access though I will try to see if Ican teach myself. Also going into some other boards to see if others might have come across this before . Thanks for your time!

And how about ussing cron to make a backup on your source server, and on your target server try to use the same cron to launch a ftp to your source server backup file? (i don't know if this can be done but it may work).

Aokromes, Thanks for your suggestions -my old ISP has just blocked the ports on my shared server so FXP no longer an issue! Currently downloading the full 5.5gigs to my pc to upload to the new server using SFTP - looks like it'll take about 36 hours! and the same to upload again. Funkin ISP wankers (Pipex)
