index.html?

Hi.I am new here as a lot of others.This is a little hard but if I work at it I should be able to do the little bit that I want.Thanx for the free version.Disability pension is next to nil so can't get paid version.How do I set up index.html on my site?Once I have that I should be able to log in anyway.I just want to put up a few pictures of machinery.Thanx for any help in advance.
